This was a fourth trip to ND / Coteau Lodge to duck, goose, and pheasant hunt.
We realize the outfitters cannot control the game and birds migrating, but they also include housing in the total fees. This trip we were put in a house that would have been condemned in most cities in the US. It was absolutely filthy. The color of the carpet could not be determined because of mud. Certainly as hunters we deal with mud, but this house has no place to remove boots, coats, etc except the carpet. The kitchen was scary dirty, the bathrooms were frightening. Everything we touched was grimy. I have been to a number of hunting and fishing "lodges" and can deal with rugged, but there is no excuse for filthy. The owner / host took our money, drove us to the house, opened the door and left. In the five days we were there he not appear, much less show appreciation for our business. OUR LAST TRIP to Coteau! Call and get a clear understanding before you go (and pay)!
